LitWorks (Teen Book Fest)

LitWorks, hosted by Eisenhower Public Library & Ridgewood High School, is back &  in-person!  A FREE event for Teens to meet amazing authors, to celebrate Teen Reading, and to have fun!!! 

Author Line-up: Fred Aceves, Amy Chu, Jessie Ann Foley, Beth Revis & Alex Sanchez

Pre-Registration:  Those who attend LitWorks will get a Goody bag of snacks and other LitWorks giveaways.  FILL OUT THIS FORM SO WE HAVE ENOUGH SWAG BAGS FOR EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS THE EVENT

  • Author Lineup for Sat. March 5th 
    • Fred Aceves:  Fred is the author of The Closest I've Come, which was an ALA/ YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults selection, and has appeared on numerous Best Books lists.  The New David Espinoza is his second novel. Fred has lived in seven different countries and currently lives in Florida.  For fans of realistic teen dramas, then this is the author for you.   
    • Alex Sanchez:  Alex spent nearly fifteen years working with youth as a counselor. He has published eight novels, including the ALA Best Book for Young Adults Rainbow Boys series and the Lambda Award-winning So Hard to Say.  For fans of realistic fiction that deal with friendship, family,  and identity, please check out Alex Sanchez.  
    • Jessie Ann Foley:  Jessie is a Chicago native and is the Printz Honor-winning author of the YA novels The Carnival at BrayNeighborhood GirlsSorry for Your Loss, and You Know I'm No Good. Her middle grade debut is Breda's Island.  Her realistic fiction is often a mix of high school drama, family dynamics, and ripped-from-the-headlines scenarios.  
    • Amy Chu:  Amy is a popular comic writer for Dynamite, DC, and Marvel who has worked on Green Hornet, Red Sonja, Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Emma Frost, and Deadpool stories.  In 2011, she launched the Alpha Girl Comics and she is currently working with Netflix on the DOTA Dragon’s Blood Series.  Anyone  into graphic novels should check Amy out.    
    • Beth Revis:  Beth is the NY Times Bestselling Author of the Across the Universe series.  With nine novels to date, Beth says growing up in the Appalachian Mountains with a cemetery in her backyard, is probably why she prefers her stories to be dark and full of twists.  For fans of Sci-fi and fantasy, look no further than Beth Revis.

·         Lucy Christopher:  Lucy’s novel Stolen is a Printz Honor Book and her books have appeared on numerous Best Books lists.  From the UK, we are thrilled to have her as a virtual author.  For fans of murder, mystery and suspense, check out Lucy Christopher.
