On Tuesday, May 2, nine art students represented Ridgewood at the Congressional Art Competition! The competition is hosted each year by Congressman Mike Quigley. This year's reception was held at the Old Town Museum of Folk Music.
Our Ridgewood student artists included Saivone Otero, Gabriela Beltran, Evanesce Cabrera, Megan Pecaro, Copper Solis, Julia Klusek, Isabel Cabrera, Julia Wachowski, and Maya Miodrag.
Congratulations to Isabel Cabrera whose painting won Third Place! Isabel painted about the conservation of African elephants and titled her piece, "I Need It More Than You!" Her artwork will be on display at Congressman Quigley's Chicago office for a year!
