The Ridgewood Foundation Scholarships

The Ridgewood Foundation Scholarships are one-year, non-renewable awards, which are offered to Ridgewood High School District 234 students who are enrolling in a community college, university/college, or post-secondary school for the year following graduation. All scholarships are payable to the community college, university/college, or post-secondary school of the student’s choice. The earnings of the Ridgewood High School Foundation determined that four scholarships in the amount of $4,000 each will be offered.

* Note: If you are applying for this scholarship, you cannot also apply for the Foundation Achievement Scholarship.

The Lupo-Romito Education Scholarship

The Lupo-Romito Education Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable award which is offered to Ridgewood High School District 234 students who are enrolling in a community college, university/college, or post-secondary school for the year following graduation. The student must be pursuing a career in the field of education to teach in a classroom setting. The scholarship is payable to the post-secondary school of the student’s choice. The monetary value of the scholarship is $1,000.

The Dominick and Carmella Lupo Scholarship

The Dominick and Carmella Lupo Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable award which is offered to Ridgewood High School District 234 students who are enrolling in a college or university for the year following graduation. The student must have a record of service in the community. The scholarship is payable to the college or university of the student’s choice. The monetary value of the scholarship is $2,000.

The Foundation Achievement Scholarship

The Foundation Achievement Scholarship is a one-year non-renewable award which is offered to Ridgewood High School District 234 students who are enrolling in a community college, university/college, or post-secondary school for the year following graduation. This scholarship is for students who have overcome exceptional challenges to succeed at Ridgewood. Students need to be recommended by a teacher to apply for this scholarship. Teacher recommendation forms can be picked up in the Guidance Office or from Ms. Cantos, Room 233. This scholarship is payable to the post-secondary school of the student’s choice. The earnings of the Ridgewood High School Foundation determined that two scholarships in the amount of $4,000 each will be offered .

METT - Trade's Scholarship

The Ridgewood METT (Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology  & Trades) Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable award, which is offered to a Ridgewood High School District 234 student who is enrolling in a technical college, trade school, or community college for the year following graduation. The scholarship is payable to the technical college, trade school, or community college of the student’s choice. The board of the Ridgewood High School Foundation determined that one scholarship in the amount of $2,000 would be offered.

Scholarship Guidelines

A student applying for one of the Ridgewood Foundation scholarships will need to submit all application materials via the google doc application, and are due March 28th 2025 (see links above).  After March 28th, the application is assigned a number to maintain anonymity among the Scholarship Selection Committee. Applications are evaluated independently and awarded points for various components. Scholarship winners will be determined and then announced during the Awards Assembly in May.

Application Deadline

All scholarship applications are to be completed online and must be completed by March 28, 2025.
