Ridgewood High School Drama Club
About
All are welcome to be a part of Drama Club! The club sponsors two major productions a year; a fall play and the spring musical. In addition, students participate in a variety of fun activities, including improvisation, field trips to see live performances, attending the annual Illinois High School Theatre Festival, and more!
Benefits
Drama Club helps increase student self-confidence, promotes a positive self-image, encourages positive social-emotional interactions, provides several opportunities to be self-reliant and to learn valuable skills in speaking, interactions, carpentry, electricity, programming, and leadership!
Furthermore, students who participate in Drama Club can earn the right to join the theatrical honor society known as the International Thespian Society. Members of our school's troupe #6662 are honored with an induction ceremony and become the leaders of the Drama Club! The honor of being a Thespian also include receiving special recognition at graduation, leadership opportunities, and even scholarships!
