Jeff Angileri proudly says he “bleeds purple,” and it's clear why. A proud Ridgewood alum and 2006 graduate of UW-Whitewater, Jeff has spent the past 15 years shaping the university’s story first as a student, then as a leader.

After earning his journalism degree, Jeff worked in broadcast news before returning to his alma mater in various roles. Today, he serves as Executive Director of University Marketing and Communications, where he leads the team responsible for UW-Whitewater’s brand identity and voice.

This spring, Jeff was honored with the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award for Service to UW-Whitewater a testament to his unwavering commitment to the institution that helped launch his career.

As a first-generation college student, Jeff leaned on the support of UW-Whitewater’s faculty and peers to find his place. His time as a student included impactful roles with UWW-TV, creating a senior capstone video project still used by departments today, and delivering the commencement speech for his graduating class.

His influence didn’t stop there. Jeff has mentored dozens of students, especially commencement speakers, helping them find their voice in front of thousands. He’s written some of the university’s most meaningful stories and even authored a photo book in honor of UW-Whitewater’s 150th anniversary.

Jeff’s journey from Ridgewood to UW-Whitewater and back again is marked by dedication, mentorship, and a deep love for community. He’s a reminder of how one person’s passion for storytelling and service can leave a lasting legacy.

“It’s a gift to have the opportunity to invest in the lives of others.” – Jeff Angileri

Congratulations, Jeff your Ridgewood family is proud of you!
